EMPLOYER FAQ:

Q: What is the NAACP affiliation with PSI Diversity Job Fairs?

A: Following a process of evaluation PSI was selected as the only Diversity Job Fair designated as a NAACP Job Fair. PSI has partnered with the NAACP for over 15 years.

PSI is also the exclusive Diversity Job Fair of the National Urban League (NUL) National Conference, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), Kappa Alpha Psi, Delta Sigma Theta, Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance, (MFHA) and more.

Q. Why is that important?

A: Our affiliation partnerships “brand” our events as truly diverse. Employers attending a PSI Job Fairs share in this branding to help them attract the diverse candidates they need. In addition, PSI shares revenues with our affiliate partners creating a win-win for our employers, our communities, and our affiliates.    

Q: Are these Diversity events only for African Americans?

A: No, These events welcome candidates from all backgrounds and nationalities. Our events have strong demographics in the Black, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, and many cultures. We also have a strong multilingual base.

Q: What are the differences between a Feature Fair, an Executive Diversity Job Fair and The Diversity Job Fair?

A: Feature Fair is held as part of a National Conference or Convention, Executive Diversity Job Fair is for candidates who are screened and must have a 4-year degree or better. The Diversity Job Fair is open to everyone over the age of 21.

Q: What kind of employers utilize a PSI Diversity Job Fair?

A: We specialize in professional positions within the technology, finance, banking, communication, pharmaceutical, retail, foodservice, hospitality, government, and education sectors.  

Q: In addition to diversity what can we expect at a PSI event?

A: A whole new marketplace of candidates. PSI works with local and national media to reach candidates who are curious and may not be actively looking.

Q:  What does an employer receive at your events?

A:  PSI provides a furnished booth that includes a high top draped table, 2 stools, ID sign and wastebasket. Our Program features all employer website information and employers are listed in all event promotions. Morning coffee and light snacks along with lunch is served to each recruiter. PSI also provides employers a web-based database of all attending candidates. Our newspaper events such as Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco, also provide an ad in the newspaper as part of the booth package. PSI representatives attend each event to assist all employers.  

Q: What do employers bring to a PSI Job Fair?

A: We recommend portable booth displays, signage with current job openings, and recruiting material such as brochures, applications etc.

Q:  What about additional equipment, audiovisual, hotel accommodations etc.?

A: PSI provides each employer an Exhibitor Fact Sheet with contact information for all additional services needed. PSI also has a Meeting Planning Department to assist employers with special needs.

Q: How do I signup for a PSI event?
